Cosmik Jest is the glass-based creative project of Pittsburgh local, Alex Neal

With a background in historical restoration of stained glass windows, and a forward focus on exploring the limits of traditional building methods - their practice is an ever-developing exploration of curiosity across a breadth of creative mediums.

After working in stained glass restoration in private studios around the Pittsburgh area for the last three years, Alex is taking a break from the more traditional aspects of the art form. The goal of this re-direction is to gather knowledge in other areas of study and craft, so as to weave traditional styles and contemporary methods together in a more intentional creative practice.

Their current areas of exploration outside of glazing work are welding, printmaking, kiln-formed and blown glass.
